			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If you are a resident of Michigan and you are the natural or adopted child of a Michigan veteran, you may be eligible for the Michigan Children of Veterans Tuition Grant Program.  In order to be eligible for the Michigan Children of Veterans Tuition Grant Program, the parent veteran must have been a legal resident of Michigan immediately before entering military service and did not later reside outside of Michigan for more than two years.  A student may be eligible for the Michigan Children of Veterans Tuition Grant Program if the parent veteran established legal residency in Michigan after entering military service.  The parent must meet one or more of the following requirements:</p>
<ul>
<li>General military experience</li>
<li>Retired from active duty</li>
<li>Disabled or killed as a result of military service</li>
<li>Prisoner of war</li>
<li>Missing in action</li>
</ul>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Are you a student in Washington, D.C.?  If so, you may be eligible for the DC Tuition Assistance Grant Program.  The DC Tuition Assistance Grant Program (DCTAG) provides grants of up to $10,000 for the difference between in-state and out-of-state tuition at public colleges and universities throughout the United States.   The DCTAG grant also provides up to $2,500 per academic year toward tuition at private colleges in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area, private Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU&#8217;s) nationwide, and two-year colleges nationwide.  One thing to note: DCTAG is neither need nor merit-based.  For more information on the DC Tuition Assistance Grant Program (DCTAG), please visit the <a href="http://www.seo.dc.gov/" target="_blank">Office of the State Superintendent of Education in Washington DC</a>.</p>
