			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The South Carolina Palmetto Fellows Scholarship was created to retain academically talented high school students in the South Carolina area.  The South Carolina Palmetto Fellows Scholarship is based on merit.  In order to be eligible for the South Carolina Palmetto Fellows Scholarship, a student must be a South Carolina resident and fit the following criteria:</p>
<ul>
<li>Score at least a 1200 on the SAT, or a 27 on the ACT</li>
<li>Earn a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA</li>
<li>Rank in the top 6 percent of the class during the sophomore, junior and senior years</li>
