If you are an American Indian in North Dakota, you may be eligible for the North Dakota Indian Scholarship Program. The North Dakota Indian Scholarship Program assists students in obtaining a college education by providing various scholarships that range from $800 to $2000 per year to approximately 150 to 175 eligible applicants each year. The scholarship is based upon scholastic ability and unmet financial need. To be eligible for the North Dakota Indian Scholarship Program, you must:
- Be an enrolled member of a federally recognized Indian tribe and a resident of North Dakota
- Be accepted for admission at an institution of higher learning or state vocational program within North Dakota
- Be enrolled full-time
- Have a grade point average above 2.0 on a 4.0 scale
