If you are in a college teacher preparation program in the state of Connecticut, you may be eligible for the Connecticut Minority Teacher Incentive Grant Program. The Connecticut Minority Teacher Incentive Grant Program provides up to $5,000 a year for two years of full-time study in a teacher preparation program during the junior or senior year at a Connecticut college or university. Applicants for the Connecticut Minority Teacher Incentive Grant Program must be African-American, Hispanic/Latino, Asian American or Native American heritage and be nominated by the Dean of Education. Applicants for the Connecticut Minority Teacher Incentive Grant must also be enrolled or expect to be enrolled full-time at a four-year institution or university.
