Academic Competitiveness (AC) Grant Program

The Academic Competitiveness Grant Program is a federal grant program that is available to students who qualify for the federal pell grant and are academically competitive. In order to be eligible for the Academic Competitiveness (AC) Grant Program a student must fit the following criteria:

The student must be a U.S. citizen
The student must be a Federal Pell Grant recipient
The student must be enrolled at least half-time in a degree program
The student must be a first or second year student in an undergraduate program
The student must have completed a rigorous secondary education program of study
The student must have at least a 3.0 Grade Point Average on a 4.0 scale

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) Program

If you are a low-income undergraduate student, you may qualify for the Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) Program. The Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant is available at over 4,000 participating post-secondary institutions across the United States. In order to qualify, a student must fill out the FAFSA to determine their financial need. The Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) is given based upon priority, with the priority being financial need. Financial need is determined by the U.S. Department of Education using a formula that was developed by congress. The elements of the formula used to determine financial need are as follows:

The student’s income
The parents’ income and assets
The family household size
The number of family members who are attending a post-secondary institution

Funding for the Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) is done by the institution, which contributes 25%. Kentucky College Access Program (CAP) Grant

If you are a Kentucky resident who is pursuing their first undergraduate degree, you may be eligible for the Kentucky College Access Program (CAP) Grant. In order to be eligible, a student must demonstrate financial need and submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Funding is limited for the Kentucky College Access Program (CAP) Grant and awards are made on a first-come, first-serve basis. Applicants who are enrolled in a sectarian institution are not eligible for the Kentucky College Access Program (CAP) Grant. California Entitlement Cal Grant B

If you are a California resident who is enrolled in an undergraduate program of not less than one academic year at a qualifying post-secondary institution, you may be eligible for the California Entitlement Cal Grant B Program. The Entitlement Cal Grant B Program requires that the student show financial need and that the student meet a minimum 2.0 GPA requirement. Applicants of the Entitlement Cal Grant B Program must be age 23 or under and must be enrolled or expecting enrollment full-time or part-time at a qualifying technical institution or university in California. If you are are a California resident who is not a recent high school graduate who is attending an approved college or university within the state, you may be eligible for the Competitive Cal Grant A. In order to qualify for the Competitive Cal Grant A., a student must demonstrate financial need and meet a minimum 3.0 GPA requirement. The applicant for the Cal Competitive Grant must be enrolled or expecting enrollment in a full-time or part-time California institution or university. California Cal Grant C.

If you are a California resident and you are enrolled in a short-term vocational training program, you may be eligible for the California Cal Grant C. In order to be eligible for the California Cal Grant C. your program must lead to a recognized degree or certificate. Your course length must be longer than 4 months and no longer than 24 months. The California Cal Grant C. requires that the student must be attending an approved California institution and the student must show financial need. Florida First Generation Matching Grant Program

The Texas Tuition Equalization Grant (TEG) Program is a renewable award for Texas residents who are enrolled full-time at an independent college or university within the state.
