Indiana Child of Disabled Veteran Grant or Purple Heart Recipient Grant

If you are a resident of Indiana and you are a child of a disabled veteran or Purple Heart recipient you may be eligible for the Indiana Child of Disabled Veteran Grant or Purple Heart Recipient Grant. You must submit form DD214 or service record to be eligible. The Indiana Child of Disabled Veteran Grant or Purple Heart Recipient Grant requires that you be a resident of Indiana and also study in Indiana. The applicant or parent must meet one or more of the following requirements:

General military experience
Retired from active duty
Disabled or killed as a result of military service
Prisoner of war
Missing in action

Michigan Children of Veterans Tuition Grant Program

If you are a resident of Michigan and you are the natural or adopted child of a Michigan veteran, you may be eligible for the Michigan Children of Veterans Tuition Grant Program. In order to be eligible for the Michigan Children of Veterans Tuition Grant Program, the parent veteran must have been a legal resident of Michigan immediately before entering military service and did not later reside outside of Michigan for more than two years. A student may be eligible for the Michigan Children of Veterans Tuition Grant Program if the parent veteran established legal residency in Michigan after entering military service. The parent must meet one or more of the following requirements:

General military experience
Retired from active duty
Disabled or killed as a result of military service
Prisoner of war
Missing in action

Ohio War Orphans Scholarship

If you are a resident of Ohio and you are a child of a deceased or severely disabled Ohio veteran who served in the armed forces during a time of war or conflict, you may be eligible for the Ohio War Orphans scholarship. You must be enrolled in full-time undergraduate study at an eligible Ohio college or university, and you must be under 25 years of age.
