If you are planning to study in a teacher preparation program for your junior or senior year at a Connecticut college or university, you may be eligible for the Connecticut Minority Teacher Incentive Grant Program. The Connecticut Minority Teacher Incentive Grant Program is available to applicants who are African-American, Hispanic / Latino, Asian American, or Native American heritage. If you are a California student who is pursuing an approved course of study leading to a Child Development Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing, you may be eligible for the California Child Development Teacher and Supervisor Grant Program. The California Child Development Teacher and Supervisor Grant Program is available to California residents studying in California. The student must agree to provide one year of service in a licensed childcare center. Applicants for the California Child Development Teacher and Supervisor Grant Program must have employment or volunteer experience in teaching and education. If you are a Massachusetts resident who is currently employed as a paraprofessional in a Massachusetts public school, you may be eligible for the Massachusetts Paraprofessional Teacher Preparation Grant. The Massachusetts Paraprofessional Teacher Preparation Grant is designed to assist paraprofessionals in obtaining higher education and becoming certified as full-time teachers. Applicants of the Massachusetts Paraprofessional Teacher Preparation Grant must be enrolled or expecting to enroll full- or part-time at a two-year or four-year institution or university. Applicants of the Massachusetts Paraprofessional Teacher Preparation Grant must also be residents of Massachusetts. The Wyoming Superior Student in Education Scholarship is available each year to sixteen new Wyoming high school graduates who plan to teach in Wyoming.
