If you are a resident of Wisconsin who is at least one-quarter American Indian, you may be eligible for the Wisconsin Native American/Indian Student Assistance Grant. The Wisconsin Native American/Indian Student Assistance Grant is available to students who attend college or a university within the state of Wisconsin. Applicants of the Wisconsin Native American/Indian Student Assistance Grant must be American Indian or Alaskan Native and must be enrolled or expecting to be enrolled in a full-time or part-time two-year or four-year technical institution or university in Wisconsin. Idaho Minority and “At Risk” Student Scholarship

If you are an Idaho resident who is disabled or a member of a minority group and have financial need you may be eligible for the Idaho Minority and “At Risk” Student Scholarship. The Idaho Minority and “At Risk” Student Scholarship is available to graduates of Idaho high schools, and is only valid if the student attends one of eight post-secondary institutions in the state of Idaho. Applicants must be American Indian / Alaskan Native, Black (non-Hispanic), or Hispanic. Applicant must be hearing impaired, physically disabled , or visually impaired. If you are a Minnesota resident who is 1/4 or more American Indian ancestry you may be eligible for the Minnesota Indian Scholarship. The Minnesota Indian Scholarship is available to students who attend an eligible Minnesota post-secondary institution. Applicants of the Minnesota Indian Scholarship must be American Indian / Alaska Native and must be enrolled or expecting to enroll full- or part-time at a two-year, four-year or technical institution or university. Connecticut Minority Teacher Incentive Grant Program

If you are in a college teacher preparation program in the state of Connecticut, you may be eligible for the Connecticut Minority Teacher Incentive Grant Program. The Connecticut Minority Teacher Incentive Grant Program provides up to $5,000 a year for two years of full-time study in a teacher preparation program during the junior or senior year at a Connecticut college or university. Applicants for the Connecticut Minority Teacher Incentive Grant Program must be African-American, Hispanic/Latino, Asian American or Native American heritage and be nominated by the Dean of Education. Applicants for the Connecticut Minority Teacher Incentive Grant must also be enrolled or expect to be enrolled full-time at a four-year institution or university. If you are a resident of Washington and you have close social and cultural ties with a Native American community, you may be eligible for the Washington American Indian Endowed Scholarship. The Washington American Indian Endowed Scholarship has the following requirements:

You must be a resident of the state of Washington
You must be enrolled full-time at a Washington public or private school
You must be committed to education to return service to Washington’s American Indian Community.

The Ardell Bjugstad Scholarship Program for Native American Students provides financial support for freshmen Native American students who are studying agribusiness, agricultural production, agricultural sciences, or a natural resources degree at any postsecondary institution. American Indian College Fund

Are you a Native American looking to go to college? If so, there are many opportunities for Native Americans to receive grants and scholarships. The American Indian College Fund offers many exceptional opportunities for Native Americans to receive scholarships.

The American Indian College Fund offers over 5,000 scholarships. These scholarships can be categorized into the following areas:

Tribal College General Scholarship Programs – Eligibility for these scholarships are determined by the tribal colleges and universities.
Special Scholarship Programs – Special Scholarship Programs are available for American Indian students that attend both tribal colleges and mainstream colleges. These scholarships are available for students pursuing undergradate, graduate and professional degrees. Please be aware that the deadline for Special Scholarships is always May 31st.
