			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If you are a resident of Rhode Island, you may be eligible for the Rhode Island State Grant Program.  The Rhode Island State Grant Program is available to Rhode Island students who&#8217;s family resources are not sufficient to meet the costs of higher education.  Applicants for the Rhode Island State Grant Program must fill out an FAFSA to qualify.  In addition, in order to qualify for the Rhode Island State Grant, a student must be a U.S. citizen, a resident of Rhode Island and be attending school at least half-time.  For more information on the Rhode Island State Grant Program and other grants and scholarships in Rhode Island, please visit the <a href="http://www.riheaa.org/" target="_blank">Rhode Island Higher Education Assistance Authority web site</a>.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If you are a resident of Rhode Island, you may be eligible for the Rhode Island Academic Promise Scholarship.  You must be a high school senior who is planning on enrolling in a post-secondary institution on a full-time basis.  The student must also show academic promise, and be able to demonstrate financial need to be eligible for the Rhode Island Academic Promise Scholarship.  The Rhode Island Academic Promise Scholarship can award a student up to $2,500 per year, and is based upon a formula that takes into account financial need and ACT / SAT score.  For more information on the Rhode Island Academic Promise Scholarship and other grants and scholarships in Rhode Island, please visit the <a href="http://www.riheaa.org/" target="_blank">Rhode Island Higher Education Assistance Authority web site</a>.</p>
